The Norman King Building is a community and multiagency resource centre where you can find the following services and agencies:
On 1 July Immigration New Zealand is launched a new information service model for new migrants to help them settle and work in New Zealand. The model is for new migrants, their families and their employers and replaces the previous Settlement Support New Zealand service, by offering services in more locations throughout New Zealand.
On 1st April 2014 the Settling In programme was transferred the from Ministry of Social Development (MSD) to the Department of Internal Affairs' Office of Ethnic Affairs (OEA). Over the following months Ethnic Affairs are taking the opportunity to examine Settling In to ensure the programme is providing resources where they are most needed and have high impact. During this transitional period Raeburn House is providing continued delivery of support for all newcomer / migrant communities (including the Korean migrant community), through the settlement information and support service and the Community Volunteer Centre (CVC).
Norman King Building Room Hire
The Norman King Building located in the heart of Northcote has a board room available for hire to community and not-for-profit organisations.
The room includes audio visual equipment, air conditioning and seating for up to 25 people at affordable community rates.
The Community Volunteer Centre aims to strengthen communities through volunteering in the North Auckland area. Whether you have a few hours a week or a few days a month to spare, we can help you find voluntary work in your local community. Click here to learn more about the Community Volunteer Centre.
North Shore Chinese Community Network
NSCCN (North Shore Chinese Community Network) is a Network including 12 Chinese community organizations on North Shore and Auckland. We share information by every month meeting and networking, cooperating together to have a voice and activity to benefit Chinese community in New Zealand. Connecting and integrating into the Mainstream.
